The events of September 2019 in Bukwo have culminated into deployment of an M-SCAN device at Bukwo General Hospital with tons of pregnant women being scanned and timely interventions done.
The device comes as a donation from Airtel Uganda through partnership with Hinds Feet Project. M-SCAN Uganda demonstrated to ministry of health Uganda and partners how the device ably and easily works to take obstetrics parameters.
The device was then handed over by Airtel to the office of the permanent secretary ministry of health Uganda Dr Diana Atwine. The device was subsequently officially handed over to the District Health Officer of Bukwo district Dr Collins Satya.
‘’This machine comes at a time when we are improving maternal and Child Health Services across the country. We are positive that this innovation will assist medical workers in dealing with the mothers’’ Dr Diana Atwine said.
